I'm Sarah, your go-to on-site bridal and beauty makeup artist, proudly serving the Northwest & Western Suburbs of Chicago, the Midwest, and beyond.

On-site bridal glam for the whole getting-ready room, from your first trial through to the last touch-up of the night. I bring the chair, the lighting and the full kit to you.

How it works

Three steps, in this order, every time

Nothing about the wedding morning should be improvised. Here is exactly how we get from your first message to you walking out of the room finished.

  1. Step 01

    Consultation

We talk through your date, your venue, how many people are getting ready and what you want to look like. You send me inspiration, I tell you honestly what will hold up in photographs and what will not. You leave knowing the timings and the cost before anything is booked.

  2. Step 02

    Trial

A full run-through in the chair. We build the look, photograph it in daylight and indoor light, then adjust until it is right. I write down every product and placement so the wedding-day face is a repeat, not an experiment.

  3. Step 03

    Wedding day, on-site

I arrive at your getting-ready location with the chair, the lighting and the full kit, and work to the running order we agreed. The bridal party goes first, you go last, and you walk out of the room finished, unhurried and on schedule.

In their words

What brides say afterwards

  • I have cried in every photograph I have ever been in, and this was the first time it did not matter. Eight hours, an outdoor ceremony in August, and my face looked exactly the same in the last photo as the first.

    Megan R.Summer wedding, Western Suburbs
  • She did my mother, my grandmother and five bridesmaids and somehow we were all ready early. Everyone looked like themselves, which is the part I was most worried about.

Priya S.Bridal party of eight, Northwest Suburbs
  • I do not usually wear makeup and I was terrified of looking like someone else. The trial changed my mind completely. My husband said I looked like me, just very well rested.

Where I travel

I come to you, wherever the morning starts

Your home, a hotel suite, the venue itself or a rental house. The chair, the ring light and the full kit arrive with me, so nobody in the bridal party has to drive anywhere before the ceremony.

  • Northwest Suburbs of Chicago
  • Western Suburbs of Chicago
  • The Midwest
  • Destination weddings and beyond

Travel beyond the standard radius is quoted before you book, so the number never changes after you have said yes.

Good to know

Questions brides ask me first

How far in advance should I book?

Most brides book six to twelve months ahead, and peak Saturdays between May and October go first. If your date is closer than that it is always worth asking, because dates do open up. A date is only held once the booking is confirmed.

Do you travel to me?

Always. This is an on-site service, so I come to your home, hotel suite, venue or rental with a professional chair, lighting and my full kit. There is no studio to drive to on the morning of your wedding.

Which areas do you cover?

The Northwest and Western Suburbs of Chicago, the wider Midwest, and destination weddings beyond that. Travel outside the standard radius is quoted before you book so the number never changes afterwards.

Do I need a trial?

It is not compulsory, but I strongly recommend one for the bride. A trial is where we work out what suits your features, your dress and your venue lighting, and it is far easier to change your mind in a trial than on the morning itself. Bridal party members do not usually need one.

How long does makeup take on the day?

Around seventy-five minutes for the bride and forty-five for each additional person, though it depends on the look. Once I know how many people are getting ready, I send a written running order that works backwards from the time you need to be in the car.

What if I have sensitive skin or allergies?

Tell me at the consultation and we plan around it. My kit is sanitised between every face, brushes are cleaned between clients, disposables are used for anything that touches the lips or lashes, and I can work fragrance-free or latex-free where needed.
